These faces are so fun for me to make. I'm going to paint them and turn them into necklaces and rings. I know they are kind of "out there" for jewelry, but they are so natural for me to make and I always love jewelry that is out of the ordinary. (or "fucking peculiar" as my dad would say)
I've been spending a lot of time with my family lately, we went to Florida recently for my cousins bar mitzvah. The weather was beautiful and I kind of wish I was still there. The highlight of the trip was when my uncle told me he was proud of me for starting my own business and keeping busy instead of waiting around for someone to hire me or for something good to happen. (I think this applies to all crafters/artists, so be proud!)
I don't think he knows how depressed and lazy I've been this winter, or how little money I'm making, but I thought it was really sweet.
and then we came back to freezing rain and hail.
Anyway, I also learned how to cross- stitch from this martha stewart article:

I tried a few, and I found cross-stitching to be really relaxing, but it also takes an incredibly long time to finish anything.
For example, I wanted to make three cats, but it took way too long. I am working on a shirt right now that will have an embroidered design on it, but it's going to be awhile before it's done.
Also, I might go up to Rochester this weekend for a craft show and the launch party of Fawn's jewelry line!!

(I hope my car can make it)
